The Austin Connection
is one of my favorite music podcasts, one that I really look forward
to savoring with each new episode. Host Jeffrye Tveraas is an accomplished
musician, composer and songwriter in his own right, but he uses his
vast knowledge and experience to shine an empathetic spotlight on
his singing, songwriting guests. The musical personalities on The
Austin Connection could all be lumped into the "Americana" category, but they range from Delta
blues, to rock, to folk, bluegrass and beyond. I love to hear the stories
behind the songs, and Tveraas has a knack for putting the musical storytellers
at ease. Where else am I going to hear someone like Carla Ulbrich,
whose funny tales include "stories of premeditation, recovery
and waffles"? Rock on, Austin Connection!

Jeffrye Glenn Tveraas
has created a new musical universe for you! You will find
a plethora (I love that word!) of fabulous Austin musicians and
he polishes them up and serves them to you in a way that you will
find truly enchanting. Sure, you get to hear the music, but what
is the heart of the podcasts is getting to know each artist. Jeffrye
Tveraas is a master at casually guiding the musicians thru dialogue
where you get to know them and into their songs. You, as an audience,
feel like you are right there, sitting in the studio, and are a
part of the experience. Congratulations Mr. Tveraas, and thank
you for creating such a fabulous cosmos for us to explore!

Thank you for taking the time
to do your fabulous podcast! It has
managed to help keep my sanity intact while at work. As an introduction
to various local [ and some not-so-local ] artists, it is exceptional.
No doubt the digital age brings many opportunities and dangers to performing
artists of all kinds, but your efforts are special and much appreciated.
I hope that you continue to find the time [ and money ] to keep up
this experiment. I will be listening and enjoying your project, so
please try to continue with this worthwhile endeavor. Thanks again!
